Drawing is an extraordinary act, a movement that leaves a residue of stillness in its wake. Learning to draw, I suspect, is less about making judgments and more about celebrating what the human imagination can achieve with the most rudimentary means. The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize embodies that celebration, revealing the depth and diversity of drawing in all its forms.

— Matthew Burrows MBE, Artist and Founder of Artist Support Pledge

As always, I am looking forward to seeing each of the drawings submitted through the Call for Entries in all their diversity, and that demonstrate the vitality of contemporary drawing as a fundamental practice for artists from across the world

— Anita Taylor, Director of the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2026 exhibition will be held at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London from 17 September to 4 October 2026 and will tour to venues in the UK until 2027, accompanied by a fully illustrated publication. The Awards will be announced at the exhibition preview on the evening of Wednesday 16 September 2026 at Trinity Buoy Wharf.
