New Artist in Residence at Trinity Buoy Wharf
We are pleased to announce the appointment of socially engaged artist Nicole Mollett as Artist in Residence from March 2026 for a seven-month residency.
During her residency, Nicole will immerse herself in life at the mouth of the River Lea, researching its industrial heritage and exploring how the communities who live and work on the peninsula connect with the river today. She will deliver a programme of free drawing workshops with local schools and community groups, as well as sessions open to the wider public.
Nicole is particularly interested in uncovering the hidden stories of the place where the River Lea meets the River Thames, approaching it as a living, ever-changing site shaped by multiple, layered narratives. The artworks produced during the residency will reflect the area’s rich maritime history of confluence, featuring the many ships and vessels that continue to navigate this channel.
