Call for Entries & New Awards Announced

The annual Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize is now open for the 2026 edition - offering artists and all who draw from all around the world the opportunity to showcase their drawings in the UK’s leading open exhibition dedicated to contemporary drawing,

Artists and drawing practitioners worldwide are invited to submit up to three drawings for consideration by a distinguished Selection Panel. The panel will be announced in February.

All selected drawings will be included in a high-profile exhibition held at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London from 17 September - 4 October 2026 and tour to venues in the UK until 2027.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a fully illustrated publication and a programme of educational and engagement activities, including a symposium at Trinity Buoy Wharf.

Prizes

In 2026, there will be a new prize structure and awards with a total value of £18,000:

  • All drawings made by anyone shortlisted for the international Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2026 are eligible for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize of £15,000
  • All students registered on a formal programme of study [check phrasing from entry criteria ] will be eligible for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Student Award of £2,000
  • All those living and/or working in the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and Greenwich boroughs are eligible for the Three Boroughs Award of £1,000

Deadline

The deadline for Stage 1 digital submission online is Tuesday 9 June 2026 at 5pm.
