Join in with this online life drawing session from 11am to 1pm led by Alex Roberts of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design at the University of Dundee.

Held in association with the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2021, this session of life drawing is suitable for those considering studying or returning to study in art and design, and for those who wish to find out more about studying at the University of Dundee, where drawing is seen as an essential aspect of teaching, learning and research in Art & Design.

Please bring along your drawing materials for this taster session of life drawing, delivered online with Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. Alex Roberts
is a practicing artist and Lecturer in Drawing at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. Ales completed her MA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts after previously studying at the University of Arts London: 2D Digital Design for Communication, following a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from The University of Reading. She joined Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design having formerly been a Lecturer in Fine Art at Leicester School of Art, De Montfort University (2019-21); teaching drawing and painting at The Edge, The University of Bath (2013-19) and The Drawing Week, Bath Spa University (2018-20). She continues to work as a Lecturer at Bauhaus Summer School, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, alongside supporting Drawing Projects UK (since 2015) and Freies Zeichnen, Mediadesign Hochschule Berlin as a visiting Artist/ Lecturer. Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design
at the University of Dundee is the academic home of the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize project where Professor Anita Taylor, Director of the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize, is Dean of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design(DJCAD) is one of ten Schools of the University of Dundee. It has an outstanding reputation for its teaching, research and public engagement. DJCAD has a portfolio of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes within its discipline groups of Architecture & Urban Planning, Contemporary Art Practice, Communication Design, Design & Making with a cohort of PhD students in Art & Design. Drawing Projects UK
is dedicated to research and public engagement in and through drawing and during lockdown worked with Alex Roberts to support the development of online life drawing sessions, which continue to be an effective way to learn to draw in addition to life drawing 'in the real'.
