Trinity Buoy Wharf's umbrella company, Urban Space Holdings Ltd (USH), have an opportunity for a bookkeeper to join the finance team.
The group is operating in a variety of industries including property management, events and boat building. USH operates a unique site in East London on the Thames riverside fostering the creative arts.
The bookkeeper will play a key role in supporting the finance team in this busy and varied small group of companies.
Core Job Responsibilities include:
- Generate sales invoices
- Maintain spreadsheets analysing and comparing income & costs
- Check timesheets and record in a spreadsheet to analyse
- Print online bank transactions & post onto Sage weekly
- Bank reconciliations
- Generate return deposit and email out remittance advices
- Distribute purchase invoices for managers for approval, check coding and other details, post to Sage and file.
- Distribute credit card statement to managers. Chase credit card receipts and complete analysis, post to Sage and make journal entries for intercompany
- Check purchase statement against purchase ledger for missing invoices
- Manage recognition of monthly changes in deferred income and journal to Sage
- Other duties as directed by line manager consistent with candidate’s level of experience and responsibility
Work Hours & Benefits
- 3 days a week 9 to 5:30 (some flexibility over hours). Hybrid working after successful completion of probationary period
- Salary range £16,800 – 19,500 depending on experience
- Company offers on-site parking, 20 days stat holiday plus bank holidays pro rata, work-place pension.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Good organization, attention to detail, time management is essential and dependability and confidence
- 2 yrs + practical experience of Sage 50 and intermediate level Excel skills
- AAT level 2
- Familiarity with other Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
