THE VOYAGES OF SCARY MARY
A man’s quest to sail and drive Iceland
Resident TBW sculptor and artist Andrew Baldwin has embarked on an adventure of a lifetime. With very little experience and knowledge Andrew is hoping that determination, and maybe a little luck with help him achieve his ambition to to use one vessel to sail from Ramsgate to Iceland where he will then drive the same vessel around the island before returning home again!
As a highly skilled sculptor, his little 20ft boat named the ‘Scary Mary’ (after an ex–girlfriend – but that’s another story) is a beautiful machine created by the same hands that have given the Wharf its variety of moving exhibits.
