Water City Orchestra in a Weekend10 September 2010 | 2nd - 3rd October 2010 Exciting performances of Vaughan Williams' 'The Lark Ascending, Borodin's Symphony No.2 in B minor "Heroic" and a Bollywood music medley. The orchestra will by conducted by Rupert Bond and led by violinist Michael Bochmann Would you like to be a part of this? Water City are searching for 60 talented amateur musicians who live or work in East London to be part of this magical event that is seeking to put together an 'orchestra in a weekend'. The challenge marks the first step in creating a visible orchestral presence across the five Olympic Boroughs drawing upon the talents of local musicians. Applications are being accepted from instrumentalists aged 15 and up who play string, woodwind, brass or percussion instruments to the equivalent of grade five or above.
