01 April 2020 - 30 September 2020

Trinity Buoy Wharf

Following the Government's advice that all non-essential travel and socialising should stop to help contain the spread of the Coronavirus, we have amended some of the "Trinity Buoy Wharf Live!" Jazz Wednesday events. Please see individual dates for further details.  We will be updating the programme in response to the current situation as it develops.

Launched in 2019, Trinity Buoy Wharf Live! is an events series featuring regular live music nights, film screenings, shows and dance and theatre performances.

Funded by Urban Space Management and Trinity Buoy Wharf Trust, Trinity Buoy Wharf Live! 2020 kicks off with "Jazz Wednesdays", affordable monthly gigs with the very best musicians between April and October 2020.

In 2019 we welcomed a diverse range of jazz and world music performers, in 2020 we juxtapose a number of younger rising stars with their elders and oft-mentors in a series of standalone and shared concerts.

The talented trumpeter and visual artist, Sheila Maurice-Grey kicks off the season on April 8 with her new band, Ms Maurice. Click HERE for details.

No season is complete without a jazz giant and we welcome back Dave O’Higgins and this time he shares the stage on May 6th with the gifted young guitarist, Rob Luft and their stunning Quartet.  Click HERE for detail.

A new face who will soon become familiar to UK audiences, is the young Australian harpist, vocalist and composer, Tara Minton, who unveils her new mermaid-inspired album on June 10th. Click HERE for details.

The heavenly vocals continue on July 1st with Jo Harrop and British Standard Time featuring Alex Webb on keyboards. Click HERE for details.

A jazz legend follows on August 5th when the great Clark Tracey brings his Quintet bursting with youthful energy and talent to the club with their “Salute to Miles”. Click HERE for details

A perfect musical segue follows on September 2nd when alto sax virtuoso, Tony Kofi and his Quintet present “Portrait of Cannonball” Click HERE for details.

Our 2020 season culminates on October  7th in a fantastic celebration inspired by the music of legendary South African jazz pianist Abdullah Ibrahim.  Pete Letanka and The Cape Crusaders mix flavours of South African township jive with American swing and R‘n’B.  Sit and listen, tap a foot or get up and dance the night away.  Click HERE for details.
