London's longest pier

Built to celebrate the Queen's Silver Jubilee, Trinity Jubilee Pier was originally only 100ft long and created almost entirely from recycled materials - the pontoon was a Thames lighter, the floating office space was made from shipping containers, and the brow was in its third incarnation having first been fabricated for use in the North Sea oil rigs.

In 2007, river boat operators Thames Clippers announced Trinity Buoy Wharf as their new operational base and the pier was lengthened to cope with the increased traffic and use.

Since the work has been done, Trinity Jubilee Pier has now claimed the title of London's longest pier.
