The Leamouth Peninsula
As the Wharf grows, as does the peninsula as a whole. With the 2012 Olympics in nearby Stratford, an exciting future lies ahead.
In the immediate vicinity, Orchard Place North (owned by Ballymore Properties PLC) has planning permission for a mixed used residential scheme for 3,000 people while links from Orchard Place to Canning Town are set to be improved with the introduction of a pedestrian and cycle bridge.
East India Dock
The Lea Valley Regional Park Authority and London Thames Gateway Development Corporation have been planning a range of improvements to the park since 2008.
Subject to budgeting considerations it is likely that it will continue as a nature reserve but will incorporate a café and education centre.
Fat Walk is an exciting new cycle and pedestrian route from Three Mills Studios to the Leamouth East India Dock.
Once completed in 2012, it will be the first time that travel down the Lea Valley will be possible without the use of a road.
