Fusion are a group of artists their work uses video and mixed media to explore the sensory perceptions of time, space, and communication and behaviours. We chose Trinity Buoy Wharf for our first joint exhibition because of its unique environment and space in an historic setting that complements our work.

London Festival of Architecture at Trinity Buoy Wharf

As part of this years festival Trinity Buoy Wharf will be opening its doors for a fantastic weekend of activity on the 28th and 29th of June and we would like to invite you to join in with the festivities.
 
To give visitors a unique view of the area, there will be a FREE boat service running  to and from the O2 pier (Jubilee line) to the Trinity Buoy Wharf Jubilee Pier  from mid day to 6 pm each day.   
 
On arrival there will be a host of activity that will seek to test and inspire all your senses..from wandering through London's only lighthouse to eating at the authentic American Diner.
 
Exhibitions, installations, tours:  (12pm - 6pm both days unless stated)
 
'High Rise' - by Spark
Through a series of talks, drawings and models these artists seek to challenge your perceptions of the high rise building. As a dramatic centrepiece there will be the 'Feeling High' architectural construction on site.  
 
Flood Tide - John Eacott
Flood tide is a live music performance in which the style and content of the piece is generated in real time by the tidal movement of the river Thames    
 
The Singing House
Exhibition, installation, sound piece and performance exploring chimneys and their evolved role in the city skyline and this East London Hub.
 
Re-invent, Rewind, Replay - Play Revolution  (Sat only)
Play revolution: REWIND our happy memories, REINVENT them in a unique way and REPLAY to rejoice in a series of interactive games.
 
The Future of the Leamouth Peninsular - The Riverside Building
Exhibition including models and plans for the future of this exciting section of one of the Olympic Boroughs.
 
African Films on board the Remember Saro-Wiwa Bus (Sat only)
A Living Memorial to Nigerian writer and activist Ken Saro-Wiwa, in the form of a spectacular Nigerian steel Bus will enable visitors to have a unique mixed-media experience in a fanatstic setting.   Films will be shown at regular intervals between 12.30pm and 5.30pm  
 
Longplayer Sound Installation - The Experimental Lighthouse
Set in the lens room of this historic building, Longplayer utilises a the sounds of Tibetan 'Singing Bowls' that creates an ever evolving musical composition deisgned to play without repetition for a thousand years.
 
Tours of Trinity Buoy Wharf including Container City
A rare opportunity to see inside the unique and innovative buildings created from re used shipping containers. Throughout the tour of this former buoy manufacturing site, you'll witness fantastic views of Canary Wharf, The 02 and river Thames whilst enjoying the ecclectic mix of structures ranging from the modern lines of Container City to the historic Lighthouse and various arts sculptures.   Tours are at  12pm  and 3pm  
 
Open Studios
A unque chance to witness what happens behind closed doors at this creative corner of London's Docklands. Throughout both days a variety of tenants, from Architects and fine artists to fashion designers and photographers will be opening their studios for visitors to catch a glimpse of them at work and even purchase something directly from where it was created! 
 
The Faraday Effect
An interactive arts installation documenting the life and works of Michael Faraday who was Scientific Advisor to Trinity House and said to have conducted many experiments in the TBW Lighthouse.

Sunrise with Sea Monsters presents the work of young graduates from a unique college; often perceived as isolated and rarely exhibiting fine art in London, this is a unique opportunity to see work produced on the edge.

The exhibition spans a variety of media from fine art and sculpture to sound and video installations.

'Arts in Process' 16th – 20th May

Exhibition of ‘Arts in Process’ by East London Artist

Arts in Process, set up to showcase the work of artists in the Isle of Dogs and Docklands area is pleased to announce its launch event and exhibition at Trinity Buoy Wharf, 16–20 May 2007.

Arts in Process focuses on enabling access to artworks that are still in development and raising the profile of artists creating work around the theme of process itself. The project also aims to connect local artists and the community in which they are based more effectively.

Exhibiting artists include: Jonathan Aldous, Samantha Dear, Hyo Myoung Kim, Noemi Lakmaier, Timothy B Layden, Robert Luzar, Sue Manchoula, Uva Osmane, Emily Strange, Taryn Takahashi, Lucy Williams.

Central St Martins Art Exhibition

At the end of an intensive four–day on–site residency, 157 fine art students will be showing the work they have made in response to the site at Trinity Buoy Wharf (its history, location, who lives/works there, the view, the lighthouse etc.) Every nook and cranny of the environment will be populated by new artwork made by this years dynamic first year cohort from Central Saint Martins.
